She’ll be in charge of making sure all of our kits are as tasty as they can be and dreaming up some new delicious meals. We thought we’d take the chance to get to know her a bit better and frankly we are just quite nosy…
When I was a child I wanted to be: A farmer! Still envisioning wearing denim dungarees and holding a pitch fork with animals frolicking around me.
My idea of a perfect Sunday is: Going to my favourite Dim Sum restaurant with some friends, eating as many dumplings as I can and then curling up on the couch for the rest of the day in a food coma with some good TV.
My signature dish is: My Mum’s chicken curry, (Madras style). Never complete without a kachumber (finely chopped salad) and raita (yoghurt).
My favourite place I’ve visited is: Edinburgh. It’s the city I know best and will always feel at home in. All the nooks and crannies of the city are very special to me and hold lots of memories.
On my dream dinner party guest list would be: J.K.Rowling (so many questions for her), Michel Roux Jr., and my Grandma
My favourite pig-out food is: buffalo chicken wings with celery and a blue cheese dip. Or hob nobs, but I wouldn’t count them as a pig out food because oats are good for you, right?
My favourite ingredient to use is: garlic. I’ll eat it roasted, crushed, ground, smoked, pickled, fried, – all the ways!
The kitchen gadget I could not live without: the kenwood mini-chopper. This is the best time saver!
The weirdest foodie gadget I own: a meat flavour injector. Looks like a syringe and adds some serious deliciousness to meats and other things. Also acts as a turbo baster for when your plastic one melts in the dishwasher. This is probably how it gets used most…
